At its 2025 Capital Markets Day, BP said it had “fundamentally reset” its strategy, pledging “comprehensive action to grow long-term shareholder value” and outlining a more “disciplined” approach to its low-carbon business. However, questions remain about how increasing upstream and exploration capex aligns with the commitment to capital discipline.

In this webinar, we will examine BP’s capital allocation and upstream performance; outline BP’s response to the shareholder resolution - highlighting that it does not address the core concerns raised; and hear from our guest speaker from Nest, who will explain how the resolution aims to strengthen oversight of BP’s strategy and protect the long‑term interests of shareholders.

ACCR has filed this resolution alongside Nest, London CIV, Wales Pension Partnership, Greater Manchester Pension Fund, Merseyside Pension Fund and PUBLICA.
