Investor Insight ACCR Presentation on AGL and the Australian Energy Transition
ACCR hosted an investor briefing on the Australian Energy Transition and what role AGL can play.
ACCR was joined by Stephanie Bashir, Founder & CEO of Nexa Advisory and Board Director at the Smart Energy Council; and Kevin Morrison, Energy Finance Analyst at the Institute for Energy, Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA).
In August 2025, AGL is expected to release its Climate Transition Action Plan (CTAP), which it will put forward to vote at its 2025 AGM on 3 October. The CTAP needs to outline how AGL will ensure the closure of its remaining coal plants by 2035 or sooner, and establish a credible decarbonisation pathway for its Scope 3 emissions and retail gas business. Now is the critical time to engage with AGL on these core topics.
