Investor Insight ACCR Presentation on Woodside Energy’s 2024 AGM

Webinar to discuss the members' statement against the re-election of the Chair, Richard Goyder and our analysis of the 2023 Climate Action Transition Plan.

This webinar discusses the members’ statement proposed by ACCR and over 100 Woodside shareholders outlining ACCR’s voting intentions against the re-election of the Chair, Richard Goyder, at the AGM on 24th April 2024.

The members' statement can be read here.

The Woodside board, chaired by Richard Goyder, has been persistently unresponsive to shareholder concerns on climate risk management and is pursuing a growth strategy that is not in shareholders’ interests. The current board has resisted change in the wake of major shareholder votes at the last four annual general meetings (AGMs), each relating to its failure to deliver a credible strategy that will maximise shareholder value in the face of the global energy transition. The chair carries ultimate responsibility for the company’s direction, and therefore it is the chair who must be held accountable for Woodside’s current approach.

We will also present our analysis of the 2023 Climate Action Transition Plan, which investors will be voting on at the 2024 AGM, and the other candidates standing for election to the board.

ACCR hosted this webinar to inform your voting considerations for Woodside’s 2024 AGM.
