Aged Care Companies
The Aged Care Royal Commission has highlighted significant deficiencies in the provision of care for the elderly. Graphic stories of failures to provide adequate care, of preventable deaths, and abuse of residents have undermined trust in the aged care system, and significant reputational damage for the companies identified in the investigations.
Many of the issues are associated with widespread understaffing and a failure to provide sufficient numbers of suitably qualified staff to meet the complex range of resident care needs.
ACCR will be engaging Regis, Japara and Estia on the issues raised in the royal commission and other public investigations.
