Former Director of Workers' Rights Dr Katie Hepworth
Dr Katie Hepworth was the Director of Workers’ Rights for the Australasian Centre for Corporate Responsibility (ACCR) until October 2021.
Katie has worked as a researcher, strategic campaigner and policy officer for over two decades, including within the Australian and international trade union movements, and as a university research fellow.
Katie has worked on major strategic research projects on the interaction between labour rights and global supply chains, logistical processes and corporate structures.
She completed her PhD in International Studies at the University of Technology, Sydney, for which she received a UTS Chancellor's Listing. Her book At the Edges of Citizenship: Security and the Constitution of Non-citizen Subjects was published by Ashgate in 2013.
Katie is an Industry Fellow of the Centre for Business and Social Innovation, University of Technology Sydney.
